When installing DB2 9.7 Server, we use the Workgroup Edition. On some newer servers,
the setup.exe file does not run and if you try to run the DB2 Server Windows Installer
Package, it loads the Enterprise version which we don't have a license for. So Will found
the file we need to run. From the Cmd Prompt opened as Administrator, change the directory
to the installer db2\windows directory. 9.7ServerInstall\WSE\image\db2\Windows and enter
this command: wininst.exe -e wse This installs the
Workgroup Edition. 9.7ServerInstall\WSE\image\db2\windows\wininst.exe -e wse For the
client installs if getting a launch pad error, run the installer found in the db2\windows folder:
IBM Data Server Client (Windows Installer) file.
