We had a client that wanted the database to be on the e: drive but every time we restored the backup, it would be on the
c: drive. Their IT was able to restore it to the E: drive by using the following command.
restore db petronew from e:\tempdb ON 'E:\' DBPATH ON 'E:\' INTO PETRONEW
